1) CSV file import

Let’s integrate the following CSV into KAWA:

Sample WINES.csv509.0KB

Step 1: Go to data source section, click on + Data source button and select Upload a file.

Step 2: Browse files and select the dataset CSV.

Step 4: Click on Next button at the bottom right to start configuring the data.

Step 5: KAWA automatically detects the types of the columns, but if needed, you can still change it by clicking on the type icon next to the column name.

📌
You can also select the keys of your data source by toggling on the correct ones (this is optional, it becomes mandatory only if the feed type is incremental). Keys guarantee the unicity of the rows of your data source. If none is selected, all rows are taken into account when importing the data.

Step 6: Finally click on Save and run button at the bottom right. Give a name to your data source and click on Create. Wait for the run to finish loading and click on Create sheet button to start exploring your data.

2) Connecting to an external system

KAWA allows you to connect to an external system. You may choose your connector from the existing list or request to add one. Please refer to the Connectors documentation here:

3) Use Data Samples to start

To help you get started, KAWA has made available some pre-made data samples: E-Commerce, Wines and Events.

📌
“E-Commerce” and “Events” can be used for linked views as they have values in common.

Go to your Data Section > Home page to create a sheet with these samples:
